The gas upgrade allows you to increase the gas usage efficiency of a Mekanism machine which allows it. It CANNOT be used in machines that produce or convert gases, such as the Electrolytic Separator. Only in machines that consume gas, such as the Purification Chamber. They are recommended in Tier 2, 3 and 4 Ore Processing setups because it significantly reduces the gas required.
